Museum Mission Statement

1.) The museum will accomplish this by maintaining a public museum and working

with other organizations that share similar interests. The museum is fostered

by the Commission, a group of volunteers who support the Town Historian and

the Museum Curator with the activities of planning for historical preservation

and protection and scheduled educational activities.

2.) Compiling, publishing and disseminating information.

3.) Collecting, preserving and studying historical, genealogical and archeological

records, documents, papers and artifacts.

4.) Promoting the preservation and protection of buildings, design and

architectural details, cemeteries and other sites of historic interest.

Documenting and preserving artifacts, buildings and sites with suitable

Monuments and markers.

5.) Accepting donations of artifacts, historical goods or financial support to help

with our mission.
