The Dog Control Officer does not take care of issues relating to cats or other animals. Please see resource links below for more info accordingly.  The NYS DEC can be contacted if an animal is sick, injured or a threat to public safety. It is a homeowner's responsibility for wildlife on their property. The DEC can be called for advice. 845-256-3013.

 The owner of any dog reaching the age of four months shall immediately

make application for a dog license.
